Credentialing

  • Patient outcomes are better in health services where infection control programs are led by ICP who hold specialist certification or credentialing.
  • As the peak body for Infection Prevention and Control in Australasia, ACIPC has developed a credentialing process that takes a three-tiered approach allowing Infection Control Professionals at all stages of their career (primary, advanced and expert) to undergo peer review of their professional standing.
  • This three-tiered process also provides a clear career pathway for ICP.
  • As this expanded process is new the workshop will provide detailed information and practical guidance on the requirements for credentialing at each level and how to prepare an application.
