In this interactive session Lori is eager to share some of her lessons learned navigating the challenges and obstacles of raising the profile of IPC out of the hospital setting.

With a strong background in healthcare leadership and education Lori McLeod-Mills is a dynamic and passionate Radiographer, skilled in supporting staff to integrate best practice into their daily work. Lori is passionate about raising awareness and reduce unnecessary illness or deaths by minimising the risk of transmission of infection. She works tirelessly to educate healthcare workers in infection prevention and control (IPC) and supports Medical Imaging Practitioners in developing countries through Radiology Across Borders. Lori has been the driving force behind the successful COVID-19 response across the Healius Healthcare Network.

With 20 years’ experience, her expertise is well developed across key areas of healthcare including; governance, quality improvement and patient safety. Throughout her career she has focused on coaching and mentoring others to provide high quality healthcare in a safe environment. Lori is credentialed with the Australasian College of Infection Prevention and Control (ACIPC) as well a Hand Hygiene Australia – Gold Standard Auditor.
