This presentation will describe Dr. Schweizer’s experiences with healthcare-associated infection prevention research and the evidence for and against these interventions. Horizontal interventions to be discussed include environmental cleaning and hand hygiene. Vertical interventions to be discussed will include interventions targeted at preventing surgical site infections and S. aureus infections.
