2019 Corporate Member – Presentation Submission

On behalf of the Scientific Conference Organising Committee, it gives me great pleasure to invite ACIPC corporate members to nominate a speaker to present at the 2019 ACIPC International Conference taking place in Perth, Western Australia, 17 – 20 November.

The conference is the premier event for the sector in the Australasian region and typically attracts in excess of 500 delegates including Infection Prevention and Control Professionals, Infectious Diseases Physicians, Nurses, Microbiologists, Researchers, Scientists, Hospital Managers, Government Representatives, and University Representatives.

This opportunity is designed to give corporate members the ability to contribute to the scientific content of the conference with nominations of professionals working in all areas of Infection Prevention and Control welcome.

Interested organisations should submit a nomination electronically using the “Corporate Member Presenter Nomination Portal”.

All nominations will be reviewed by the 2019 ACIPC Scientific Conference Organising Committee, with successful nominations selected on scientific merit.

The call for nominations will close on Friday 21 June

If accepted, the nominating organisation is responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of the speakers participation in the conference (registration, travel, accommodation) & meeting all associated expenses.

How to Submit

Nominations must be submitted electronically through the Corporate Member Presenter Nomination Portal.

You will be required to enter:

  • The title of the proposed presentation.
  • Presenter’ name, affiliation and biography (up to 150 words).
  • Presentation overview (maximum 250 words) – refer to Formatting your nomination and follow these guidelines when entering your overview.

Notes:

  • Please complete all author details requested in the on-line portal.
  • The person submitting the nomination will be considered the principal point of contact for all communication regarding the nomination including acceptance notification.
  • The nominating organisation is responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of the speakers participation in the conference (registration, travel, accommodation) & meeting all associated expenses.

Formatting your nomination

  • Use the below word template to write your presentation overview, then copy and paste into the nomination portal.
  • As a guide we suggest formatting the presentation overview as Background (Problem statement and project aim), Method or Actions (What did you do?), Results (What happened as a result? Include patient outcomes if relevant), Conclusion (Implications/Learnings).
  • Leave one line between paragraphs.
  • Specify all abbreviations in full at the first mention, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses, thereafter abbreviation only should be used.
  • Presentation overviews need to be written in English.
  • Check presentation overviews thoroughly for spelling and grammar.
  • Do not include references.

Nomination review and acceptance

The Scientific Organising Committee will review all nominations and advise decisions in early July.

Should your nomination be successful the speaker and topic will be allocated as confirmed to the conference program as an industry sponsored session.
