2019 3 Minute Research – Call for presentations

What is the 3 minute research session?

In this session, selected researchers will have 3 minutes to discuss their research project. No slides (e.g. PowerPoint presentations) are permitted.

The session is designed for people wanting to propose a research project, or those who have a new project underway. Students and early career researchers are particularly encouraged to participate.

The aims of this session are to:

1. Build research collaboration and capacity in the infection prevention and control community.
2. Enable researchers and delegates to share proposed ideas and gain feedback from peers.
3. Explore the diversity and quality of upcoming research being undertaken in Australia.
4. Allow researchers to share details about proposed or recently commenced research projects
5. Provide a forum to assist researchers in improving recruitment or participation in proposed or recently commenced projects.

How do I get involved?

To be considered to present in this session, you will need to submit an expression of interest using the submission portal below.

The Scientific Conference Organising Committee will review all submissions. If there are more nominations than we have time for, the committee will choose presentations based on the following criteria:

• Value of participating in these sessions to the researcher.
• Scientific merit/quality of the proposed presentation content.
• Significance and relevance to the infection prevention and control community, particularly conference delegates.

This call for participation will close at 5:00pm Friday 4 October 2019.

There will be no extension to this deadline.
